Human Animal Support Services

Human Animal Support Services (HASS) primary goal is to keep people and pets together. We are bringing animal welfare organizations and community members together to engage in partnerships that support the bond of people and animals. This is a collaborative effort facilitated by American Pets Alive! and made possible by incredible partners, including Maddie’s® Fund, Rachael Ray Foundation, South Fork Foundation, Michelson Found Animals Foundation, Life of Riley at Springpoint, PetSmart Charities, Pedigree Foundation, Cuddly, Petfinder, and Brandywine SPCA.

Petfinder

Petfinder is an online, searchable database of animals who need homes. It is also a directory of nearly 11,000 animal shelters and adoption organizations across the U.S., Canada and Mexico. Organizations maintain their own home pages and available-pet databases.

Grantors

Athletes for Animals: 2022 Grant Recipient

Since 2013, Athletes for Animals has successfully connected athletes with a shared passion for animals, educated the public about responsible pet ownership, promoted pet adoption, raised funds and distributed grants to support best practices in animal welfare. “We thank Athletes For Animals for its generous support of our Spay-Neuter Assistance Program!”

The Arizona Community Foundation

AZ Pet Plates

Arizona’s Pet Friendly License Plate Program “There’s an amazing “driving force” in the battle against pet homelessness: It’s Arizona’s Pet Friendly license plate! A portion of every Pet Friendly license plate purchased is deposited in the ‘Spay and Neuter Fund’. These monies provide funding for no-cost or low-cost surgical sterilization of dogs and cats throughout Arizona.” We are honored and grateful to be a recipient of funds for our Spay/Neuter Assistance Program through the Arizona Pet Friendly License Plate Program! Please support this wonderful program… not only will you be sporting a snazzy license plate, but you will be saving lives through prevention. Get yours today @ www.azpetplates.org!

The Bissell Foundation Petfinder

In 2011, tails were wagging everywhere when Cathy Bissell founded BISSELL Pet Foundation (BPF) as a natural extension of her love for animals and her commitment to their welfare. The foundation’s goal is to help reduce the number of animals in shelters and rescues, and to find a loving home for every pet. With the help of our generous supporters, BPF has awarded millions of dollars to our growing partner network of animal welfare organizations and has impacted the lives of an incalculable number of pets. Together we are saving lives in all 50 states and Canada.
