Qualification for Assistance
Our Spay/Neuter Assistance Program and Pet Food Bank provide assistance to low-income residents of Pinal County only. Our funds and pet food supply are limited, so it is important that we serve those who are most in need. Therefore, qualification is required via one of the following methods:
  1. By providing proof of current enrollment in a State or Federal assistance program - i.e. WIC, AHCCCS, Food Stamps, SSDI, Medicaid, or Unemployment
  2. By income level. In order to qualify via this method, you must have an annual household income (before taxes) that is below the following amounts:
Household Size* Maximum Annual Income
1 $17,820
2 $24,030
3 $30,240
4 $36,450
5 $42,660
6 $48,870
7 $55,095
8 $61,335
*For households with more than eight people, add $6,240 per additional person.
PROOF via either method must accompany your Application for Assistance. For low income, enclose a copy (first page only) of last year's Federal tax return of each adult in your household. If you did not file taxes or your income has decreased since your last tax return, enclose note of explanation and best proof of income (W-2's, pay stubs, etc.). Please mark through any sensitive information, such as social security numbers, on all documents prior to submitting.
